Fall In Love With Logan & Alexis In To Love And To Cherish by Lauren Layne

Hey everyone! We’re eager to bring to you character profiles and a buddy review for our tour stop on the To Love and to Cherish Blog Tour. As huge fans of Lauren Layne, we couldn’t wait to dive into this one, and it did not disappoint one bit. We’re sad that this is the end of the Wedding Belles, but it has been a wonderful ride for us. The Hero Logan! Nick: What can I say about this guy to get you all to try this book? British, accountant, nerdy. Is that enough to convince you to pick up To Love & To Cherish? Lauren Layne always writes amazing men in her books. I love that more often than not they are actual good guys that you can envision yourself being attracted to in real life. Logan was no different. I have been intrigued by his character since the first book and waiting for To Love and To Cherish has been pure torture, but it was all worth it. Logan has lots of great features to his personality – he’s savvy, smart and kind-hearted. But the best part about him? His patience when it comes to Alexis. I mean, this guy has been in love with Alexis for 8 years and he waited to give her the time to come […]

A New Favorite Romance: For Better or Worse by Lauren Layne

It’s official: Lauren Layne has made it at the top of my list of favorite authors! I’ve read quite a few of her books by this point but this is definitely one of my favorite books by her (tied with The Trouble with Love, read that one). I’ve really liked the last two installments of The Wedding Belles series, but there was just something about this one that hooked me in completely. Everything felt perfect: the characters, the romance, the chemistry, the pace. It was all there and it was all amazing! I love that feeling you get when you just know that you’re reading a new favorite book and this one definitely had me feeling that way. Heather is an Assistant Planner for The Wedding Belles, but she’s due for a promotional soon. When she gets her own solo wedding to plan which will pretty much determine her career. Heather has put in everything she has to make her dream job a reality and she won’t let anything stand in the way, especially not the wanna-be rocker who lives next door and is determined to keep her up at nights with his band practice. Josh is the opposite of Heather: he’s fine with just letting the days go by without any real plan or objective for life. After surviving […]

Audiobook Review: Baby It’s Cold Outside!

I believe this is the first Christmas book I’ve ever heard and now I now I’ll look for more every year.  I’ve been bitten by the Christmas bug and these books seemed like the perfect escape.  I’ve only read the books by Jennifer Probst and Emma Chase, so even though I tried listening to the other stories, I just felt lost because I didn’t know who any of the characters were.  These mini-reviews will be for the two that I read although I would love to come back and read/listen to the rest some other time.  At 2 hours-ish for each story, we get just the perfect novella length for these stories. It’s a Wonderful Tangled Christmas Carol by Emma Chase I admit that Sebastian York as Drew was the big reason why I wanted to listen to him.  You’ll know I love me some Yorkie and I especially love him when he’s playing Drew.  Hi story was such a good one!  I believe it’s 8 years after Tangled so it was really nice to see how everyone is doing.  It’s Christmas and Drew pulls a douche-move when he decides to work instead of spending the day with his family.  It’s refreshing to see that even after all these years, Drew is still the same guy we all love.  Even […]
