Follow Friday! (2)

Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Rachel of Parajunkee and Alison of Alison Can Read! It’s a great way to meet new blogger friends!  This week’s question is: Q: What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done to get your hands on any particular book? I can’t think of something crazy I’ve done for a particular book, but when I was in middle school I was OBSESSED with Sweet Valley University books.  My mom and dad would take me to the two bookman’s in town and go through all the SVU books to see which ones I already had and which ones I needed.  I still have those books.   When a book comes out that I REALLY, REALLY want and I can’t wait until I get it from Amazon around 5pm the next day I wait until midnight and buy it on my Kindle too.  Then by the time I get the actual book the next day, I’m about halfway done with the book.  I do this quite often.  In fact […]

The threat of the Partials is still imminent, but, worse, no baby has been born immune to RM in more than a decade. Our time is running out. Kira, a sixteen-year-old medic-in-training, is on the front lines of this battle, seeing RM ravage the community while […]

Exclusive Interview with Brodi Ashton from Everneath!

Brodi Ashton was awesome enough to do an interview with me, here it is:  1.  I am a book cover geek, Everneath is one of the most amazing covers of 2012, in a word: breathtaking.  What did you think when you first saw the cover of Everneath? I thought, “Whoa. Beautiful.” And then I thought about how lucky I was to have a cover that I loved!  2.  Will we read about any other Greek mythologies in Everneath 2? Yes! There are quite a few mythological elements, but probably the most important is the myth about Theseus fighting the minotaur in the labyrinth. 3.  Tell us one thing about Everneath 2… Well, if you’ve read EVERNEATH 1, you sort of have an idea of where EVERNEATH 2 needs to go!  I can say that the one thing Nikki learned in EVERNEATH 1 is to never give up, and that quality is going to help her in the sequel.  4.  Which book are you looking forward to the most in 2012, besides your own book of […]

This week’s question is:    Many readers/bloggers are also big music fans. Tell us about a few of your favorite bands/singers that we should listen to in 2012. I am OBSESSED with The Pretty Reckless!  I love their CD, their unreleased songs, their covers, mash-ups and listen to their songs over and over.  I was lucky enough to go to one of their concerts last October with Evanescence and sit FRONT ROW!  It was so awesome and can’t wait to go to another one of their concerts.  Taylor Momsen’s voice is pure, raw emotion and Ben Phillips rocks on a guitar!  Here are a couple of my favorites.  Hope you enjoy!    Buy their CD Light Me Up, it’s awesome! Some of my other favorites include Rihanna, Evanescence, Beyonce and Pink. What are your suggestions? Leave me a link in the comments section so I can check it […]
