How was everyone’s March? Mine was decent though my reading was just a bit mediocre, relatively speaking. As you guys may already know, Rashika & I have started a monthly feature focused on diverse books that we launched earlier this year. You can read more about it here. This month, Rashika was also lucky enough to do a Q&A with author of Last Seen Leaving, Caleb Roehrig. So be sure to check that out.
Anyways, I’m here to share with you all the list of diverse books that released in March. Click on the covers to take you to the Goodreads pages. I also have a fun would you rather Q&A with Whitney Gardner, who wrote one of my favorite books of the month, You’re Welcome Universe!
March Releases To Get Excited About
I’m honestly ashamed that I’ve only read one book from this list. That being said, I really want to read Crown of Wishes, Amina’s Voice and Shadow Run because I’ve heard AMAZING things about them! I also bought a copy of Queens of Geek thanks to a review from Aila at Happy Indulgence, and I’ll be reading it next week, so I can’t wait.
Would You Rather With Whitney Gardner
Say hello to Whitney Gardner everyone! I have her on the blog doing a Would You Rather session, and I enjoyed torturing her with some difficult questions! 😉
Also if you get the chance, totally check out You’re Welcome, Universe, which was honestly fabulous with its representation and the way it tells the story of two friends! You can check out my review here.

1. Would you rather have white walls in your home or graffiti filled walls?
When I was in high school, my walls were covered in my own painting. My mom let me paint right on the walls. I remember one wall was a huge peacock mural. But now I like to change it up too much, white walls would mean I could hang art and rearrange to my liking.
2. Would you rather have a lifetime supply of tea or have access to only one cup of coffee a year?
As much as I love coffee, and I do mean love coffee, I would have to go with the tea option. Especially if I can still make chai. There’s just no living without caffeine at this point.
3. If you had to pick only one, would you rather be an art teacher or a YA author?
This is a really hard question. I miss my old students all the time, and I miss the fun of being surrounded by people every day. Being an author is a dream come true but it can get very lonely. Can I cheat and say a YA author who starts an art club at the library?
4. Would you rather eat pancakes or cheese for the rest of your life?
Cheese is so much more versatile. I could have savory dinners of burrata and smokey blue cheese. I could have my favorite goat gouda, Midnight Moon, for a midnight snack. I could even have gourmandise kirsch as a desert! Now, I love pancakes, and I can make really really good pancakes, but I’d have to go with cheese for the options alone.
5. Would you rather spend time with your pugs or gardening?
Pugs. No question. Let the plants wait.
6. Would you rather have a lifetime access to all the comics and books you wanted or a lifetime supply of your favorite coffee?
Comics and books!!! Bad coffee can be made better with sugar and cream, but an unlimited supply of books and comics? That’s the dream!
Which book in this list are you most excited about? Have you read any?
