Unfortunately, I also spent most of February sick but I’m finally better so I’m gonna try to forget about all the sickness and focus on the stuff I liked in February. Besides it being my daughter’s 10th birthday and my mom’s birthday, it felt like February was so busy and went by so fast. I had a few new favorites that I’m excited to share with you guys. Be sure to let me know some of your favorites.
Boho Beautiful Workouts
Since I was sick, I wasn’t able to do my PIIT28 workouts which are very cardio heavy but I still wanted to workout when I was feeling better. I found Boho Beautiful in January and have been loving her videos. She does Pilates, Yoga, Cardio and Meditation videos and I love doing her Pilates, Yoga and Yogalates workouts. I love that I don’t feel like my heart is gonna explode and like I can’t breathe, but I definitely feel the workout in my muscles and work up a sweat. I’m doing the above 21 day pilates challenge above as well as a mix of her other yoga/pilates videos every day. Here are a few of my other favorites:
Emerald of Chivor Bottled Ink
Do you guys see how pretty this ink is??? The main color is this teal color but it has accents of gold and maroon which make for a really pretty colored ink.
Pilot Deep Pink Bottled Ink
Another ink that I got for my fountain pens. Of course I had to go with a dark pink color!
Pilot Metropolitan Fountain Pen
I didn’t want to get a pen that was too pricey and the reviews for this Pilot Metropolitan Pen are amazing and it’s only $13. I got one in black and loved it so much that I got another one in silver. I love using these pens and I’ve been using cursive a lot with them, which is a big deal for me since I used to hate cursive.
Wet n’Wild MegaSlim Eyeliner
I’ve been using the Kat Von D eyeliner for over a year and while I love it, it’s also pricey ($18). I’ve been loving a no eyeliner look lately so after my last eyeliner ran out, I didn’t want to spend another $20 on a new eyeliner. Since I love Wet n’Wild I tried their new skinny eyeliner which I love, and it’s only $5!
Wet n’ Wild Photofocus Pressed Powder
I’ve mentioned before that I’m not a big fan of foundation and love to wear powders instead to cover up my redness and even out my complexion. I’ve been loving and using this $5 pressed powder lately, it gives me just the right amount of light coverage and doesn’t look cakey or powdery. And did I mention is was only $5??
Maybelline Big Shot Mascara
I hate 99% of mascaras because they all make my wimpy eyelashes go straight down. It doesn’t matter if its drug store or high-end, the only mascaras that hold my curl all day and make my eyelashes really long are the Maybelline Big Shot and the Maybelline Lash Sensational, only in Waterproof. The non waterproof formula does not hold my curl so if you have that problem, they the waterproof formula of your favorite mascara (or a new mascara). I love this so much that I have been skipping the eyeliner because I love the way my eyelashes look on their own.
YSL Black Opium
This is actually my first perfume, I never used to wear perfumes because I am so sensitive to smells but I started getting samples from Sephora everytime I bought something and there were a few I really liked. After using up a few samples of this YSL Black Opium I ordered a rollerball. They accidentally sent me the bigger size so yay for me, I love this scent!
I wanted to get my hair cut last month but I didn’t want to waste over $100 just to get my hair cut/colored. I started watching some youtube videos on how to give yourself a bob haircut and I went ahead and did it myself and I love it. I have been cutting my own hair for years, but it’s usually just a trim or cutting off a few inches. Giving myself a chin/shoulder length bob was definitely a new for me.
That’s it for my February favorites, let me know what books and other non-book related items were your favorite last month!
