So I’m officially on spring break, which means I get one week to get as much reading as possible. I have a ton of books I want to read, but as always, I don’t know where to start. In my post today, I’m sharing with you guys a list of books I’m going to be picking up my spring break reads from. I would love for you also comment and select two books from the YA and adult list as a mini poll to help me decide and make life a little easier.
I’m drooling just looking at this list! There some fantastic-looking YA books that I want to get to this year, and this is a small list of those. All of these except for the first two, are authors that I have read before and loved. Island of the Exiles is on my list because of Danya’s book-pushing! I’m also really excited for The Adjustment. It’s such an underrated and original series, and I’m excited that Suzanne Young is writing more books. Coming Up For Air is bound to be a cute read, and having loved all of Miranda’s book, I have no doubt I’ll loving it too. I don’t like to read a lot of YA thrillers because I find them to be very predictable, but last year, I loved Kelley Armstrong’s The Masked Truth, so Missing is one I’m looking forward to reading. I have my fingers crossed that it will be as great as The Masked Truth. As a long time fan of Emery Lord, I’m giddy about reading The Names They Gave Us. Besides Lord’s name on the book, I’m very very curious to see how she handles religion. I think it’s a little sad how little representation religious teen girls get in YA books, so I’m glad that Emery Lord decided to write one. And the final book on the list is The Evaporation of Sofi Snow, from Mary Weber, whose Siren trilogy I absolutely LOVED.
Of course, it won’t be spring break without some romance! I have Elle Kennedy’s Midnight Target to read. I have so many feelings when it comes to reading this book. It’s been one heck of an adventure and I’m sad and nervous to let these characters go after this final book. I hope it will deliver. I also have Sarina Bowen’s Pipe Dream to read. I’m a little bummed that this book isn’t Nate & Becca’s story, but I know that Bowen will deliver another entertaining story. Also super excited for Until It Fades. I love K.A Tucker, and she writes such lovely romances. I’m curious to see how she handles sports romance. Pretty Face & Walk of Shame are both books I’ve read and loved already, but I want to re-read them, so if I get the time during break, I’ll definitely pick those up as well.
