Thursday Swoon hosted by the authors over at YA Bound. From the book you’re currently reading, or one you just finished, tell us what made you SWOON. What got your heart pounding, your skin tingling, and your stomach fluttering?
Shout it out on Twitter with the hashtag #YABound, post it here in the comments, or grab the adorable button above and share it on your blog! We want to know 🙂
I haven’t done a Swoon post in a couple of weeks. Some of the books I read this month didn’t have many swoon worthy scenes. But I have made up for it. The last few books I read have some serious swoon scenes and here they are:
Slammed: Slammed #1
By Colleen Hoover
-There’s a slight moment of hesitation in his eyes just before his lips close over mine. In the past, his kisses have been very delicate and smooth. There’s a different hunger behind him now. He slides his hands under my shirt and grasps at my waist. I return his kisses with the same feverish passion. I run my hands through his hair and pull him to me as I lie back on the couch.
Point of Retreat: Slammed #2
By Colleen Hoover
-She wraps her legs tightly around my thighs, and we completely give in to our need for each other. I grab the back of her head and press her mouth into mine even harder. I can feel my pulse rushing through my entire body as we both begin to gasp for air between each kiss, as if we suddenly forgot how to breathe. We’re both desperate, doing our best to get past the moment when one of us usually calls retreat. We pass that moment pretty quickly.
Avoiding Commitment: Avoiding #1
By KA Linde
-He scooped her up out of the chair and crushed his lips to hers. He kicked the chair out of his way and pushed her body back against the wall. Tilting his head sideways, he kissed her deeper, feeling around with his tongue for every vantage point. She moaned as his hands grabbed at her waist and hips. His mouth moved away fromher lips to kiss her earlobe, neck, and collarbone, taking in as much of her as he could. He returned to her mouth when she clawed at his back begging to taste him again.
