Follow Friday! (20)

Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Rachel of Parajunkee and Alison of Alison Can Read! It’s a great way to meet new blogger friends!
Gain new followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature & Follow! If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers — but you have to know — the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.
The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs!
How does this work? First you leave your name here on this post, (using the linky tools — keep scrolling!) then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them “hi” in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!
Q: If you could “unread” a book, which one would it be? Is it because you want to start over and experience it again for the first time? Or because it was THAT bad?
If I could unread a book because I wish I could experience again for the first time I would probably have to pick:
Shadow Kiss by Richelle Mead:The book was perfection…and then the ending KILLED me!  Even worse, I had to wait a whole year to read the next book.
Books I wish I could unread because they were SO bad:
House of Night books by PC. Cast and Kristen Cast Books 1-5:  These are the worst books I have EVER read.  I kept reading because I wanted to see what all the fuss was about and why on earth people liked them.  I made it up to book 5 and it was then that I couldn’t handle any more “bullpoopy”, “I almost peed myself” the trying way too hard to be hip dialogue and Zoey’s love octagon.  (Yup she had like 5 love interest).  It was so bad I ended up selling my books on eBay to another sucker!
Another book is Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins:  What happened to Katniss and Peeta, and the ending?  No…just no.  I pretend I never read it and in my head the ending is way different.

If you are a new follower, welcome!  I hope you follow my blog via GFC.  Let me know you’re a new follower and leave a link in the comments so I can follow you back.  Thanks for visiting!
Just a quick update to let you all know that I’ve changed my blog address to  My old address was booksandsparkles.blogspot but a lot of people thought my blog name was Books and Sparkles.  Plus it was also pretty long so hopefully this one is easier.
My site is currently in transition, if you can’t access my new domain try adding a blogspot for the next couple of days until it’s fully activated.  I lost all 700+ of my email subscribers and I would really appreciate it if you subscribed to receive my blog by email.

  1. I would love to experience Shadow Kiss again! I love that book. I didn’t like the ending to The Hunger Games either. It annoyed me somewhat and there were things left incomplete. But I enjoyed the rest of Mockingjay. I continued with the House of Night series to book 6 but, in hindsight, I don’t know why I bothered. :/
